Guilala Gets Paid!

Great job by the creative company Fallon, who did the new ad campaign for The Ladders which gives vintage Japanese monster GUILALA, from the cult classic The X from Outer Space, some nice airtime!

Trailer for the original 60s classic:

Apparently this low-budget sequel – Guilala's Counterattack! – was a recent release in Japan:

Diane Sawyer Drunk at the Inauguration

My friend Bob sent me this this morning, and it's pretty amazing:

She's approaching the "Kathleen Turner at the Oscars in the late 80s" level of on-air drunk here. Although I remember Kathleen Turner started speaking what sounded like Spanish but actually wasn't during an Oscar party interview, so I consider her the reigning queen.

Cottonable review

Thanks to MJ at cottonable.com for the nice comments about our shirt designs:

"Late night movies are fantastic things, filling the world with images of extraordinary monsters, epic fight scenes, and displays of heroics that you just can't find anywhere else. It's no wonder that films of this ilk have a fandom that stretches across the globe, smashing through language barriers with pure enthusiasm.

And for all those fans, there are t-shirts that let you share your hobby with the world. Shelf Life Clothing loves B-movies just as much as their fans do, and it shows in the quality of their designs. They have a nice range of movie poster tees, catching the eye with bright colors and bold vintage styling. But for me, the most exciting shirts are the ones that communicate the insider knowledge of a true fan in a fun way, like I Need To Score, which celebrates some of film's most inspiring composers. Sure, most people won't get the reference, but those that do would probably bond instantly over their uberfan status.

Of course, there's something even for people who aren't part of the underground movie scene. Check out their Rock Logo Mashup or Steroids baseball design for a look at the still-awesome work they do when working outside their comfort zone."
